LOOK WHO’S JOINING US! Jen Surine | Fabricating Architectural Jewelry with Wire: Dagger Earrings | Friday, February 6, 2026 | 9:00 am until 4:30 pm (one-hour lunch)
$240.00

Calling anyone that wants to learn to Ninja Solder!
Learn to push your skills in this class with multiple soldering operations in a small area.
We will be making a pair of earrings out of your choice of silver wire, Sterling or Argentium.
You can also choose to make posts or dangling earrings.
I will be sharing all of my favorite methods of working with wire while avoiding melting or re-flowing previous solder joins.
Learn to layer wire, create precise mitred corners, and even create volume!
*** REQUIRED: LINDSTROM ULTRA FLUSH OR FLUSH CUTTERS, OR SOMETHING VERY SIMILAR THAT RESULTS IN A CUT IN A WIRE THAT DOESN’T LEAVE A LITTLE “PINCH” ON THE GOOD END OF THE WIRE. I LIKE LINDSTROM’S FLUSH CUTTERS 8141 (AVAILABLE THROUGH RIO GRANDE OR STULLER) ***
Meet Jen Surine!
Wielding torches and hammers, Jen cuts and forms little pieces of wire, and bit by bit assembles one piece at a time to create a wearable piece of sculptural jewelry.
Each little wire has been measured, cut, bent, soldered, and polished, making these rings entirely hand fabricated.
She is best known for her “Openwork” style, a design process she has been developing for more than a decade.
Inspired by art deco stained glass designs.
We’re so lucky to have Jen join our incredible team of Vivi Magoo instructors!
