In this 3-Hour Workshop, we will use the Teesha Moore method of cutting, folding, and stitching an art journal with 22”x30”sheets of Fabriano artistico hot press paper.

We will then create mini works of art on watercolor paper and use a favorite work or photos you bring to class along with creative lettering to create the cover.

The rest of class time will be used to practice “compartmental journaling” where Jenny guides you to create compartments in your spreads that can hold future sketches, doodles, illustrations, lettering, and stamping. 

You will leave with an elegant and unique art journal.

You will also be encouraged not to save it for use but to use it right away and get in the practice of making and using journals again and again. 

Techniques & Process 

● Overview of tools and materials with principles of best practices in terms of handling paints and caring for tools. 

● Warm-up exercises to get our mindsets into new ways of thinking and seeing and feeling. 

● Demonstration and teaching of how to make a single-stitch art journal 

● Demonstration of how to use creative lettering, doodling, and compartmental journaling to fill your art journal
