Class Description
In this project-based class students will learn to build layers of fused texture and bond 24K keum-boo to create a mosaic that looks like parched desert landscape.
We’ll break Argentium sheet into bits, fuse them to a base sheet, then layer fused filings and keum-boo to create contrast and highlight the different textures.
A bezel-set stone may be added as a focal point.
This project can be adapted to different skill levels – beginners can learn command of fusing basics, advanced students can add elements like wires, cut-outs or distinctive bails.
Beginners should have basic experience with the torch, saw and flex-shaft.
