About this class

With silver prices reaching record highs, it's the perfect time to rediscover the creative possibilities of copper, brass, and other non-precious metals! In this hands-on workshop, we'll explore the art of combining metals, textures, and techniques to create a bold, one-of-a-kind cuff bracelet. Using copper and brass as our primary materials—with the option to incorporate sterling silver or gold accents—you'll learn to transform inexpensive materials, including scraps and remnants, into a distinctive piece of wearable art. We'll explore layering, texturing, piercing, riveting, and other fabrication techniques to give your cuff depth, dimension, and personality. A cabochon of your choosing will become the focal point of your design, adding color and character to your finished piece. The emphasis is on creative freedom, experimentation, and making the most of the materials you already have. No two cuffs will be alike! Come prepared to experiment, break a few design rules, and discover that beautiful jewelry doesn't have to begin with expensive materials.
