In this 3-Hour Workshop, we will first practice the fundamentals of blind contour by making

works of art on paper.

We will then practice blind contour on wood.

Of the ones we make on wood, we will select one to paint with acrylic paints.

We will then paint strips of wood, cut them with a miter box and learn how to cradle the painted wood to make a piece that is ready to hang.

You will leave with an elegant and unique piece of art to keep or give.

You will also leave with methods that you can practice beyond the workshop.

Techniques & Process

● Overview of tools and materials with principles of best practices in terms of handling

paints and caring for tools.

● Warm-up exercises to get our mindsets into new ways of thinking and seeing and

feeling.

● Demonstration and teaching of how to make a blind contour drawing

● Demonstration of how to blind contour on wood and paint that wood

● Demonstration of how to cradle the wood with strips of mitered wood
