WELCOME BACK! Kim St Jean | The Magic of a Forgotten Metal: Sand casting with pewter | Friday, February 6, 2026 | 9:00 am until 4:30 pm

$220.00

In this class you will experiment with the wonders of pewter, an age-old metal.

It’s affordable, it doesn’t tarnish, no allergic side effects, and it molds like clay at a low temperature.

We will be making impressions into casting sand and pouring melted pewter into the impressions.

There are so many ways to create unique pieces using this technique.

We will be creating pewter “cabochons” and pieces that are cast “through” a variety of materials like mesh screen to create one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry.

I will provide a wide variety of objects to use as molds, and I encourage you to bring small objects to mold as well.

Examples: small toys, seashells, figurines, twigs, rubber stamps, just about anything that does not have under cuts.
