$220.00

Bring your metalwork to life—layer by folded layer.

In this immersive class, students will explore how to build depth, shadow, and striking dimension using folded and raised metal components.

Whether you choose to craft a bold ring or an eye-catching pendant, you’ll learn how to create focal pieces that rise—literally and artistically—off the surface.

Through thoughtful layering and structural shaping, we’ll dive into techniques that turn flat sheet into sculptural forms, adding visual interest and a sense of movement to your work.

This project is all about giving your designs a new point of view—elevated, expressive, and anything but flat.

Come ready to fold, form, and rise.

  • Circle Template – Like this one
  • Chisel  – I like the cheapy ones from Home Depot and Lowes. I recommend around a 5/8 size. Here’s one like them from Amazon
  • Busch Twist Drills Size 0.80 MM Jewelry Making Rotary Tools with 3/32” Shanks (or comparable size bits in another brand. These are my preference. I recommend having multiple incase you break one)
  • I highly recommend bringing a Disc Cutter – There will only be a couple for use in class that will be shared. If you have one and can travel with it, please do. This will be a rate limiting step. Bring an appropriate hammer to use with it as well. You will only need your 1/4” and 5/16” punches, so you won’t have to bring the whole lot.

OPTIONAL SUPPLIES –

  • Polishing and Sanding wheels to be used with the Flex Shaft
  • Your makers mark stamp or other stamps to add to the back of your pieces
