in this class we will create a dynamic hollow form embellished with scrap silver for a beautiful texture.
we will create a hefty ring shank, and within the form, we will prong set a small cab or rose cut gemstone for color.
be prepared to make one heck-of-a-statement!

materials required
bring at least this amount, or more if you happen to have it
18 g sterling silver sheet : 3 inches by .5 inch
24g sterling silver sheet: 3 inches by 3 inches
18 g sterling silver wire : 6 inches
scrap silver (wire, sheet, whatever you have)
one flat-backed cabochon or rose cut gemstone 15 mm or less (i will have some for purchase if you don’t have one)
tools required
favorite hammer/s
flush cutters
bench pin / 3” or 4” C-Clamp to secure bench pin (tables vary in thickness)
pliers – flat nose, chain nose, round nose
files – hand files and needle files
sharpie
sanding sticks and/or sandpaper (220-400 grit)
safety glasses
