WE ARE GLAD TO WELCOME…Bette Barnett | The Etch Factor: Creating Your Own Steel Rolling Mill Pattern Plates | Wednesday, February 4, 2026 | 8:30 am until 4:30 pm (1-hour lunch)
$255.00

Want to learn how to produce your own original, high-quality steel rolling mill pattern plates at a fraction of the cost of commercially available plates?
This fast-paced one-day workshop is your chance to create fresh, original designs for your rolling mill pattern plates at an extremely low cost.
We’ll explore a range of resists—oil paint pen, hand cut stencils, embossing powder, rubber cement… anything that will stick to the steel and hold up in the etching solution.
You will learn which types of resists work best to produce a long-lasting etched pattern for rolling mill plates and how to manage the electro-etching process.
You’ll also have the chance to try out your rolling mill plates and you’ll walk away with at least three durable plates for your future creations.
