Zac Tedrow | Revamped and Recycled: transforming scrap silver into wire and sheet | Wednesday, February 7, 2024 | 9 am until 4:30 pm
$205.00
Every silversmith has a stash of scrap silver: broken bits, trimmings, and projects that didn’t quite make the cut. With this class, you can turn those scraps into brand new usable pieces of material!
Students will learn what it takes to prepare a crucible, categorize material, melt the scrap, and pour the molten metal into rods and ingots.
We will then use a rolling mill and draw plates to transform the ingots into sheet and wire.
After taking this class, you will never be without the correct gauge wire or sheet for a project…you’ll be able to make your own!

It looks like this is a very popular class and has sold out!
